Maine Coon Cats as Pets

Maine Coon Cats are an American breed that have gained popularity because of their unique large size, outgoing and playful temperaments, and loyal character.  They are the largest cat breed and make fantastic family pets.  Known to be the perpetual kitten, they are engaging and remain playful for most of their adult lives.  They have dog-like temperaments and make loyal family members.

Size Matters

Maine Coon males cats typically weigh on average between 18-22 pounds but can be even bigger!  Female Maine Coons on average weight between 10-16 pounds. They are BIG considering the average house cat is around 10 pounds.

Our Cats

We spent the time researching the right cats for our breeding program so that you don’t have to worry about the basics. We carefully selected our Kings and Queens and all have been health screened and DNA tested.  We work closely with our Veterinary team with our kittens as well so that they are also health screened and receive vaccinations and deworming before they ever leave our facility. All of our cats are offspring of imported Maine Coons from Russia and Ukraine and are members of our family.  Kittens are raised in our home and are well socialized.  When you purchase a kitten from Rockin JM Maine Coons, you become part of our family.  We offer ongoing support and advice to ensure a smooth transition for you and your new pet.

Beautiful Cats—Maybe a little scary

Maine Coons are big beautiful cats. They are truly an American breed.  When one thinks of a Maine Coon, many times it’s the big tabby cat that comes to mind.  Mrs. Norris from Harry Potter movies was a Maine Coon. Even though they are sweet and loving by nature, it is a little fun to think how terrifying they can look. Sweet Andromeda is an absolutely kind and adoring girl but she can have that Maine Coon look that makes you think twice about petting her!  Lucky for us, she is actually one of our sweetest cats! She definitely has the Maine Coon look down.
